Dr. Niranjan Savani

Dr. Niranjan Savani attended Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, the second oldest dental school in the nation, where he graduated with his DMD in 1996.He is dedicated to the newest advancements in dental technology and is frequently among the first dentists to use newer, more advanced techniques and equipments.

Dr. Savani has placed numerous dental implants to date and is an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also holds an Associate Fellowship with the American Academy of Oral Implantology.

Dr. Savani believes in giving back to the community and is an active member of charity groups like United Way.

Dr. William Jakavick

Dr. William Jakavick was born in Philadelphia and grew up in a little town called Brookhaven, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he earned a BS in Biology. Following college, Dr. Jakavick enrolled in Temple University School of Dentistry.He graduated in 1984 and jumped right into private

practice which has been his life for the past 30+ years. Additionally, Dr. Jakavick had a brief stint where he returned to Temple as a part-time clinical instructor in both the operative dentistry and oral medicine departments. He also received certificates in laser dentistry and advanced laser periodontal treatment.

Dr. Jakavick has six wonderful children and two beautiful grand children who all supply the light in his world.

Dr. Jakavick also enjoys attending sporting events, concerts and best of all hanging out with his children. When time allows he tends to his other passions, golf and playing guitar.

Dr. Arnold Malerman

Dr. Arnold Malerman

Arnold J. Malerman, DDS is a true Philadelphian, having lived, studied, and worked in the Philadelphia area almost all his life. He was born in Feltonville, raised in West Oak Lane and Abington, and he graduated from Abington High School in 1961. ln 2009 he was honored to be selected as a member

of the Abington High School Hall of Fame in the field of Science. Dr. Malerman attended Penn State Ogontz for his first two years of college, transferred to Temple University for his junior year, and received early acceptance into the Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1968 with the honor of having been selected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He was also a member of the John Coleman Society of Oral Medicine and President of the James R. Cameron Oral Surgery Society. Dr. Malerman served from 1968 to 1970 as a Captain in the United States Air Force as a General Dental Officer in the 809th Medical Group. He was honored to receive the National Defense Medal, the USAF Outstanding Unit Citation with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and a Certificate of Commendation from the Strategic Air Command.

ln 1970 Dr. Malerman began his post-graduate Residency in Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving his specialty certificate in Orthodontics in 1972. He joined Penn’s faculty as a Clinical lnstructor in 1973 and now holds an appointment as a Clinical Professor of Orthodontics. Over the years Dr. Malerman has spent over 2,500 Tuesday mornings at Penn and has been in some part responsible for the education of not only undergraduate Dental Students, but also over 500 postgraduate Orthodontic Residents. “The ability to pass on information that has been passed down to me is exceptionally rewarding.” ln addition to teaching at Penn, Dr. Malerman has held academic or clinical appointments at Thomas Jefferson University, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Albert Einstein Medical Center, and the Montgomery County Community College. He has taught scores of courses in the Philadelphia Area, across the United States, and in Europe and Latin America.

Dr. Malerman opened his Orthodontic practice in Dresher in 1972. He merged his practice with two other Orthodontists in Glenside in 2015. ln 2020 he was approached with an opportunity to open an additional practice in Fort Washington, and it has proven to be an exciting new venture. Since entering private practice, Dr. Malerman has served on numerous professional, civic, and business boards. He has received dozens of academic and clinical honors. These include “Best Dentist” or “Best Orthodontist” locally, Who’s Who, Top Orthodontist Nationally and Top Dentist Pennsylvania from healthap.com, Dr’s Choice Award, and many more. But the most exceptionally gratifying commendation has been to see former patients return to the practice with their children and grandchildren.

Dr. Malerman (aka: molarman) and his wife (the Cookielady) have been married for over 50 years. When not practicing or teaching, they enjoy travelling to Newton, MA, to be with their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Add to that many home improvement projects, reading, gardening, and museum hopping, there are not enough hours in a day.

Professionally, Dr. Malerman’s goal is to provide each patient with a smile of which they can be proud, a smile that is dazzlingly aesthetic, fully functional, and exceptionally stable. “Each and every patient receives my full attention.” Malocclusions are like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike.
